Who Is Siddheshwari?
Hi! My name is Meg Siddheshwari Sullivan. Since 1966, I have worked with thousands of people and helped them ease their pain (physical and emotional) and heal from many kinds of illness.
Starting off as a nurse’s aide and then a nurse, I ultimately came across Reiki. With my first Reiki treatment, I knew I had come home!
After taking my first class a few months later, I practiced Reiki on anyone who would let me, starting with my daughter and my husband. Following five years of study and practice, I was initiated as a Reiki Master in the Usui Shiki Ryoho system of Reiki, allowing me to teach and to pass on to others this wonderful power to nurture and to heal.
In addition to studying Reiki, my life-long commitment to inner growth — through psychotherapy, spiritual practices and workshops — helps me be present to my clients as they navigate their own healing journeys and as they learn to heal themselves and others.
The beauty of Reiki, to me, is its simplicity, its effectiveness, and its seeming intelligence — giving people exactly what they need on all levels — without any effort. It connects people to their own deepest selves, allowing healing to take place simply and naturally.
My Reiki Lineage
I studied First- and Second-degree Reiki with Kajsa Krishni Borang, who had all her training with Wanja Twan, one of the twenty-two Masters initiated by Mrs. Takata.
My Mastery training and initiation was with Chelsea Van Koughnett, who studied First-degree with Wanja Twan, Second-degree with Mrs. Takata and Rick Bockner, and her Mastery with Phyllis Lei Furumoto (Mrs. Takakta's granddaughter, and the present Lineage Bearer of Usui Shiki Ryoho, the form of Reiki that I teach).
I am grateful to Chelsea and Krishni, Wanja, Phyllis, and the whole lineage that makes it possible for me to share Reiki with so many people, who then share it with others. Thinking of this leaves me with the image of the proverbial pebble dropped into the pond.
